I need to purchase a home gym (closest facilitiy is 50 miles ). I'm leaning towards bowflex from my own research but if anyone has some hands on experience with Bowflex or another brand I'd appreciate hearing it.

thanks

I'd actually recommend a set up that gives a bench/squat combo. Mine has it so I can adjust the sliders on the side up so I can use squats on the backside, bench on front. With all the sports stores hurting for some revenue, the sales have been great - got mine (really nice set, I'll go look at the name brand later) with all the weights I needed AND with a heavy bag set up for $425.

Just put in a chin-up bar somewhere in the house and you have the holy trinity (bench, squat, chin).
